the exterior facades have decorative plaster and are decorated with marble paintings (tromp l'oeil). this painting technique originated in roman times and literally means "trick of sight. a very realistic painting technique performed by craftsmen. the window and door thresholds are made of robust french natural stone, the gutter and rainwater drains are predominantly made of zinc. of course, all window frames are equipped with insulated glass. the ceilings in the villa are plastered and equipped with ceiling moldings and rosettes, subdued and in style with the architecture of the villa. the marble floors are laid seamlessly and the herringbone parquet floors add to the unique character.
